About nine years ago, we noticed that one of her lower incisors looked grey. I took her, and her two brothers to the dentist twice a year for dental exams. The dentist checked her and told me to make an appointment to see her in six months. I had to ask her about the grey tooth. Oh, she replied, yest it was discolored. She then ordered an x-ray which revealed nerve damage.
A root canal was scheduled but not done because it was determined that the tooth was dead. I was told this was a complication of braces. Nothing more could be done. I was very upset that not one dentist in this practice had noticed this for one year. And I made this very clear.
