A Velscope is a special light that can detect changes in the tissues. It is an early detection system for oral cancer. I have found numerous patients over the years with either oral cancer or precancerous changes. To date we have saved countless lives as have many others across the country. Early detection for oral cancer is the key as the survival rates drop dramatically the further it progresses.
