That's what I'm going to use it for also, as well as bathing and general purpose cleaner. For general purpose cleaner what I use now is a spray bottle with water, vinegar, alcohol and 2 drops of dawn. It cleans good, but I don't find it to be a good de-greaser.
I remember my mom using Castile soap to scrub our wood floors growing up.
