Dr. Connie Mariano is sadly misguided. Her math is severely faulty. First of all, she assumes that every rape was committed by means of UNPROTECTED sex. Second, she takes as gospel Planned Parenthood's claim that "more than 5% of all rapes result in pregnancy," which is nearly impossible to prove. Third, she sites "according to medical statistics there is a 5% CHANCE of pregnancy following just ONE incident of unprotected sexual intercourse." That is not the same as 64,000 rapes resulting in pregnancy 5% of the time. The actual number would be far lower. Her math is way off.
