Hello and thank you for your post to EmpowHER. Hypercalcemia is diagnosed when there's too much calciumin the blood. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001404/
Be sure to drink plenty of water and avoid foods that have dairy in them including milk, cheese, ice cream and yogurt. If your doctor has given you the go ahead to eat these foods, please avoid foods that have added calcium. You'll also want to avoid antacids that have added calcium. And were you diagnosed wtih hypercalcemia in association with cancer or a gland condition? These conditions may affect what you can eat as well.
