You say that the swelling starts after you eat. Do certain foods trigger the swelling or does it happen every time you eat and with any and all foods?
This is just a guess--you may be experiencing swollen salivary glands — particularly the set located behind your jaw and in front of your ears.
This is a symptom of Sjogren's syndrome is a chronic autoimmune disease in which people’s white blood cells attack their moisture-producing glands.
It may be something to ask your doctor about.
