The only FDA approved supplement out on the market right now is Alli. Unfortunately, it has some pretty unwanted side effects, view them here: http://www.myalli.com/faq.aspx
Honestly, A diet that is approved by your doctor or even better set up for you by a nutritionist is a MUCH better idea than to start taking pills with less than desired side effects. Not to mention the fact that pills are temporary and your weight will start to come back on once you are off the pills.
