H.p.v. Virus can cause throat cancer in partners of females, and other viral infections can be present there, too. Chlamydia and other bacterial can live there, too. Candida presents as thrush (yeasty smell), and other fungi too.
Best bet is this: antibiotics first. Azithromycin and suprax. Then anti-fungals/parasitics. If that doesn't clear it up, go to a specialist. My friends partner was recently diagnosed with h.p.v of the throat, because it caused cancer.
