Pornography is a stimulate and therefore, just like any drug can be addicting although it also can just enjoyable. As long as there appears to be no addiction or if it leads to a disruption in your everyday life (i.e., not working), then there appears to be no issues with visual stimulating material but of course there are some negative religious beliefs behind it also. It really depends on each person.
Introducing it into your relationship is something new and exciting for probably both of you since he was already interested and obviously you are too. You should certainly talk to him about it. Sharing the idea in a relationship is certainly different then on your own. You shouldn't feel scared, think of it as only a conversation topic and I know you can do it.
