I suffer from eczema, and have since I was little. I also have a few pollen allergies, though they're not terrible. My doctors are sometimes bemused by the fact that I never developed adult-onset asthma. One of the things I do to help my skin and existing respiratory issues, though, is use a shower filter. I work for a company, Aquasana, that makes a really nice one, and it really has helped my skin condition. One of the things the shower filters remove is the chlorine that disinfects the public water supply (but is bad for our skin and hair and dries us out). People or kids with eczema should really try out a shower filter. I'm a believer!
