I didn't know FMLA existed! I have to get a job to help pay for unexpected expenses, but I am one of those "sandwich", over-50 females--with a daughter in college and octogenarian parents that live over 5 hours away from me. This will be very helpful, because my daughter and my parents have ongoing health issues that need to be addressed. I have to be there for any emergency and to take care of doctor visits, tests, etc. I'm so relieved to know that I'll have 12 weeks to take care of family business if necessary. But, is there ANY stipulation as to how long I need to be working at a particular job, before I'm guaranteed that I'll not lose my job if I take a leave of absence without pay? Thanks.
