Could you possibly have a stye (aka Hordeolum) ? There are two types of styes-- external, which are located outside of the lash line and Internal, which are located inside of the lash line.

Treatment involves antibiotics to eliminate the infection along with drainage of the lesion. If it doesn't drain on its own your doctor can assist you-- don't try to do this on your own as you may cause some damage to your eye. There are times when the stye may go away on its own but still need to be drained by applying hot compresses to the area about 6 times a day. If it doesn't drain, it will keep coming back.
