Here in the U.S. that kind of insurance is only for people with really good jobs. Working class people can't usually afford that kind. Usually we get high deductibles where you have to pay a few thousand dollars or more in medical bills before the insurance company has to pay. So a lot of Americans just skip the doctor's because we don't want to even reach the deductible. It's good if you get something like cancer, so you don't go into all kinds of debt, but not so much for everyday problems like an infection.
