Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. What did your doctor tell you about your peripheral neuropathy? Did she or he recommend any course of treatment? Were you prescribed any medicine, like muscle relaxants? Did the doctor recommend physical therapy? You may want to discuss options more thoroughly with your doctor to find one that's right for you.
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition where nerves can become damaged as a result of another condition. There are several different non-surgical therapies that may help relieve peripheral neuropathy, they are described here: Peripheral Neuropathy Treatments. Alternative treatments like accupuncture also may help relieve pain and numbness, although alternative treatments are not FDA approved.
