Butterfly8671 - You've already answered your own question. You said, "Whenever I drink... alcohol which isn't very often I suffer what appears to be a psychotic episode." If you already know that you're taking a risk with your health when you drink alcohol then you need to avoid it, especially if you are not able to see your CPN or GP.
