I too woke up during an endoscopy..I was having the dilation of the
esophagus....it felt like he was opening up my chest...he asked me
if what he was doing was hurting me and I nodded my head and he
told the nurse to give me more medication....I woke up right after..
wide awake!! My chest was very sore for a week after. If I need
another follow-up - I will ask for more medication..that was not fun
at all!!
