I am not sure if you have talked with other patients, but here are a few options:
1. Find another doctor with a better reputation whom you trust
2. Talk with a Patient Advocate in the hospital about your experience
Being sedated does include having anesthesia, and I am unclear about your conversation with your doctor, and whether you have actually talked with patients or just "hearsay", but please talk with the hospital, your insurance company or another Patient Advocate. Can you find another doctor?
