It sounds like you are receiving good care by your doctor, I know it feels like you have been sick for a long time! Conditions like recurrent sinus infections and chest congestion can take months before you feel completely "back to normal", especially during the winter months and with asthma.
Continue taking your preventive medication, as well as your treatment medications. Do you know what triggers your asthma? Do you also suffer from seasonal allergies? Are you in an environment where you are exposed to colds and flu?
