Hi,
It is not weird at all; everyone has their own cycle. The normal range for most girls to start their periods is between ages of 12 to 15. Some can start early, some can start a little later. Do you have a family doctor or pediatrician that you see on a regular basis, and does this doctor know that you have not started your period? As long as you are being monitored, it can be fine. If you are 16 and have not had a period yet, you may want to ask your doctor.

Here are a few questions to consider (they are personal, so feel free not to answer, but it would help if you feel comfortable), as there are some clues that menstruation will start soon. According to Women's Health:
- a girl gets her period about 2 years after her breasts start to develop. Has it been longer or shorter than 2 years since your breasts have started developing?
- have you had any vaginal discharge fluid, that you may see or feel i your underwear? "This discharge usually begins about 6 months to a year before a girl gets her first period."
