Yaz has been advertised as helping with the symptoms of PMDD (it is an oral form of birth control, however). Do you know why you would flare up with oral forms of birth control, and not from an IUD (Mirena) or the intravaginal (nuvaring)?

Have you talked with your doctor about trying other forms of birth control vs. changing the dose?

Lastly, there are other medications (other than birth control) that you could try to help with the symptoms of PMDD, including antidepressants. Have you spoken to a health care professional about this? Are you currently in treatment, or seeking other treatment options, such as talking with a therapist, to add to your treatment regimen? (It is important to meet with a mental health professional, to rule out other conditions as well, as many women with PMDD may also have multiple conditions).

I'm sorry you are going through this, and we are here to help you find the best treatment options (even multiple ones).
