I had a congenital cataract in my left eye. Because of the loss of vision that eye started to turn outward, especially when I was tired or sick. When I was 43 I had surgery to correct this but was told (again) that nothing could be done about the cataract. When I was 50 the cataract was 'ripe' and I did have it removed. Do now have some vision in that eye - I am able to see shapes and colors where before all I could see was gray. However, I have recently noticed that it is starting to turn out again. I am now 66.
