Although it is typical to ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period, it is not a rule otherwise lots of mother's would not be mother's today. With that being said, YES you can get pregnant by having unprotected sex at ANY point in your cycle. Whether you have your period, just finished your period, or are days away from your period-- wherever there is sperm and the possibility of a released unfertilized egg, there is the chance of pregnancy.
