Thanks so much for writing about your journey. In the '80s, I had a friend younger than you were who found out she had cervical cancer. She reacted the same way you did. It just wasn't as well-known then and she was so embarrassed that she only told me and one other friend. Not even her family -- not even at our urging. She was lucky, she only needed surgery. (And not a full hysterectomy). But the point you make is true. There is not enough information given to young women about this yet. Thanks so much for writing.
