Hi, I had this procedure done on 2/18/13. I went in thinking it was going to be quick and not too painful considering I have been getting my periods for up to 16 days a month where i couldn't leave my house fornthe first 3. I took a Valium 2 hours before the procedure and received a torodol shot right before. I knew something was wrong as soon as the dr put the wand inside me. I felt a full out jab into my abdomen which caused me to cry out. The next 10 minutes were horrible. I felt everything! Once the procedure was done I was shaking so bad I couldn't stand up on my own. I laid down for about 20 minutes and was sent on my way. My husband had to help me to the car and into my house where I laid down and fell asleep for the night. I was taking Percocet for the pain and it didn't help at all. I called the dr the next day and told her I was in agony. She said to keep taking the Percocet and I should be fine. By day 4 the pain was unbearable. She prescribed me another rx for Percocet and said it was probably painful bc the lining of my uterus was so bad before the procedure. By day 6 I was in the hospital in pain worse then labor. I was told I had an infection in my uterus and prescribed antibiotics. On day 9 I was still in agony and went back to her office for a recheck. The dr then told me that I was not healing right and needed to go for a cat scan. She now thinks there may be damage to my bladder and/ or bowel. She put me on bed rest until further notice. This is hard for me because i have 4 kids. Today is day 10 and my cat scan is scheduled for tomorrow. I can barely keep my eyes open I am so fatigued. Thank god my husband took off from work to help me with the kids. I tried not to take the Percocet this morning but its now 2 pm and I'm in agony again. This has been a horrible experience for me so far. I hoping the cat scan will come out okay and that the pain subsides soon. If not, I do not know what I am going to do.
