I had the cryoablation done in 2008. I had a watery dishcarge for about 3 weeks, having to wear a maxi pad, and change it out every hour or so. I must admit that in the beginning I thought the discharge would never stop, then one day I had my period as normal and after 5 days it stopped. My periods became lighter and lighter over the next 3-4 months then my periods stopped all together. Recently over the past year I have started having periods again. At first I didn't think much of it but over the last 6 months they have become very uncomfortable and bothersome with random spotting throughout the month as well as painful cramping. My OBGYN said it's nothing to worry about and that the procedure didn't work for me as well as he would have liked it to. He recommended other forms of birth control which I am not happy about.
