I am not sure what you mean that she said, "...that twitching I am experiencing is a neurological symptom, however, I am not experiencing any neurological signs or anything".

If your doctor said that the twitching may be an indicator of a neurological symptom, I would ask for a referral to a Neurologist to have a thorough exam. A family doctor is not able to perform complete neurological testing.

If your doctor said that the twitching is NOT a neurological symptom, but that she believes it is psychological in nature, then I would again ask her for a referral, but this time, to a Psychologist for testing and diagnosis.

I think there is a difference between "worrying about every little symptom" and making sure to rule-out obvious symptoms with a few doctor visits.

Can you write back, and let us know what the doctor said about the twitching you are experiencing, and how you feel about obtaining a referral to a Neurologist and/or Psychologist? Do you feel that you may have anxiety and/or depression? (Click on the words, and you can learn more about the symptoms for each of these. We are also happy to provide more information about these conditions).
