I don't now if anyone's still reading this, but I did go back in and have an xray, and my ankle fusion was complete. No "grey" areas left, which meant everything was totally grown-in bone. The pains I experienced were most likely related to nerve endings reconnecting. I still have quite a bit of numbness, especially on the inside side of my ankle/foot, so I know there was a lot of nerve damage.

Jessica, I teach fourth grade language arts, and I can honestly say that so far as being on my feet it hasn't been this easy in at least 10 or 15 years. I've gone from being on my feet for an hour or two and suffering crippling arthritis/pain to being on my feet all day long and suffering the normal "Man, my dogs are barking!" kind of pain--the kind a good long foot soak can fix. It is wonderful!! If you get this, I'd love to hear whether or not you were able to go back to teaching!
