You forgot the joy of a full night's sleep. When I adopted my first son, the call came weeks earlier than expected and we left to drive halfway across the country to get him. Took 14 hours driving through the dark overnight. The night before the call came, I worked late and stayed up late. If I had known then that was to be my last good night's sleep I would have gone to be earlier!
