Very funny. Mine is only 5 and a half months. I'd love to give new parents a card that said "Congratulations" on the outside and "Your life is now over" on the inside!!! :-)
But it is beautiful. All that bother, hassle, lack of sleep, and trouble and what do you get?: the most amazing person you have ever met in your life who you would trade all that you owned for. I always think how my son is worth the whole world. As in, if I owned the world and someone took him asking for ransom I would without even thinking give it up for him. And I suppose as mothers that is what we do. Give up our worlds.
Not that that means we don't miss them and try to get them back over time!
