Miscortes,

The first thing I'd tell you to do is to hang in there and see where things go with the actual health care bills. A plan is one thing. But in order to get any sort of health care accomplished, both the House and the Senate will argue over every point of the bills, and then they'll have to compromise in order to get something passed. It wouldn't be the first time that a bill that's passed is different from the one that is proposed, and it sure won't be the last. I am sure that there are many people who, just like you, would be affected by some part of the bill, and who are worried -- or excited -- in some way that may change before we get an actual bill.

In the meantime, call or write your congressional office! That's what they are there for! They need to hear from people like you with specific worries and concerns in order to take care of you when they're actually doing their work! Are there any town hall meetings this month where you live?

Strong women don't whine -- they share, just like you are doing. They find options. They cry, and then they move on. They band together and change things. Hang in there, and don't make any decisions while you're feeling this way. It's good to plan, but high stress is anxiety-producing and detrimental to any real progress. Breathe, wait, listen, and weigh things as you can.
