I am actually writing bc in 2007 I went in for my normal GYN appointment and my doctor felt a lump. I was on Birth Control taken at the same time everyday, and used condoms (we really did not think we were ready for children). She ordered an ultrasound and I was told it was a cyst, at the same visit they did a preg test which came up neg. 2 weeks later i did a HPT because i still did not get my period and that came up neg as well. Well that "cyst" resulted in a wonderful little boy. I tested negative both in the office and at home at 4 and 6 weeks preg. I did not find out until I was 12 weeks along when I went in for a consult to have surgery to address the cyst.. The poor US tech got a horrified look on her face when she asked "why are you here again" My point demand your provider listen to you, BC can fail and PT can be wrong ANYTIME you don't feel right go and get it check out!
