Taylor,

It sounds like you may have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). UTI's are really more annoying than anything else, but without proper treatment may lead to a more serious problem.

Some of the symptoms of a UTI are:
A strong, persistent urge to urinate
A burning sensation when urinating
Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
Blood in the urine (hematuria) or cloudy, strong-smelling urine
Bacteria in the urine (bacteriuria)

Urinary tract infections typically occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra and begin to multiply in the bladder. This may have occurred during sex with your boyfriend, though sex is not necessary for this to happen.
You should contact your physician for diagnosis and treatment-- all that is necessary is a sample of your urine for this.

I would also urge you to see a gynecologist for a complete set of tests including all STD's and a routine pap smear now that you are sexually active. Your gynecologist or physician may also prescribe some form of birth control for you and for your safety-- use a condom as it is the only form of birth control (other than abstinence) that will protect you from STD's including HIV to some extent.

If you would like to read more on UTI's, you can do so here:

Hope this helps!
