Thanks for the very helpful comment Michelle! Actually, it's funny that you should mention your husband's nagging, because that is the very situation with my own partner constantly saying I need more of a tan. I suppose when you think of the wrinkled, brown, old ladies who tanned frequently in their younger years, to appeal to my partner is not worth it. I don't suppose he'll be happy if I turn into one of those grisly gals twenty years from now. Thanks for the suggestion on the tan towel, I'm looking on the site now. A bit expensive, but a much better alternative!
