Uhhh, he was 10! You are stupid! Most 10 years olds are pretty shallow... My 7 year old thinks I am incredibly old because I have gray hair that shows, and I am only 26.
As to the 66 year old getting IVF, it was selfish, imho, to go and do that, not only because she left those babies behind, but because of the risk of the pregnancy, for her and them. Yes, they will be thankful that they had a mother that loved them and wanted them so much, but they will have to go through life knowing that they will never know their real mother. My children's father died a couple years ago, one only being 6 months old at the time. They are still grieving his loss, and probably always will.
HOWEVER, if she wanted kids that badly, she could have fostered (if they have that sort of thing in Spain, and they allow older single people to do that). Not only would she have had LOTS of babies, but she would have had the opportunity to help disadvantaged kids, and when she did die, those children would just go right back into the system, no problem, and there would not be more orphans in this world.
I think it is awesome that she wanted to be a mother, but seriously @ 66?
