It was actually my boyfriend who told me about Amberen. He works with a woman at a whole foods and I has asked him to get info about an alternative to HRT (although I was willing to take ANYTHING due to how crazy I was feeling so suddenly). I have an appt with my gyne on the 17th, and I hope to know if Amberen is working by then. I will accept an Rx for HRT as a backup plan. While it would be wonderful if this combination of amino acids and minerals facilitated my own body to work and my ovaries to do their job, I also know that I am living in a 'time-sensitive' container and my ovaries may be kaput (I hope not). I just know that I cannot function without sleep and the ability to concentrate and do my job. To us all, Abby
