I am 44 and have experienced lower back and hip pain only during sleep. After about 2 years it has finally been minimal. I see a massage therapist about once every month and a half. Also sleeping with a pillow between my legs has helped alot. I don't have the money to buy a new mattress mine is firm and relatively new. Both the deep tissue massages and the pillow have helped to where I rarely wake up to pain.
