I have had hip pain for years and tried the chiropractor, acupuncture, message treatments and now I am going to physical therapy. The first thing I told him was that when ever I got in my car the pain was almost instant. The therapist asked if I had bucket seat that cradled me into place. Yes I do. He suggested to put a cushion in the center of my bucket seat to make it like a flat seat. When seats cradle you it pushes on your hip. When your seat is flat it take the pressure off the trochanter (where your hip joint is) relieving the pressure. Besides first putting my hip back into alignment and a few exercises this was the first practical advise I received that made sense.
