I've been suffering the same problem with hip pain waking me at night. It has gradually became worse over the last year or so. My GP refered me for an X-ray and Blood Tests. X-ray results came back yesterday and my GP has asked me to make appointment to discuss. I am seeing him on Mon 22nd Mar. Will let you know the results.
