This is long. Bear with me. I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend a week ago. She has been taking a low dose combination pill, Lo loestrin fe. She started a year ago and stopped in August but picked back up in October. Two times out the past three days, she has had irregular bleeding from her vagina. The first time it was a brownish color. She put in a tampon and the next day it was gone. And then the next morning, she was bleeding again this time a red color and fairly heavier. I started freaking out because she's doing this midway towards the end of her cycle. is she by any chance pregnant? Or is it from the pills? She says this rarely happens and she's had spotting once. Is there a consultant or doctor with answers? Thank you.
