I would not so surgery either. I was diagnosed Vulva Vestibulitis ten years ago and have been pain free for 2. I was also under Dr Rapkin's care (UCLA). For me, it was a stress related syndrome. I've been meditating and doing yoga and the pain is gone. Stress causes an increase in stress hormone and inflammation in the body. For those under Dr Rapkins care, ask her about ucla's Marc program (Mindfulness awareness research center). At my last visit with her, she wanted me to be apart of the Marc program, but I had to have a pain level of 4 or more and I was painfree. Also, for those seeking bloodworm with testosterone ect., I had to pay out of pocket to get my hormones tested properly ( functional medical doc or integrative medical doc). She tested my free testosterone as well. My " regular" OBGYN and 2 other " regular" docs never tested that.
