From what you have shared, it is evident that you know how conception happens. Yet, you have a monthly fear of becoming pregnant.
Using some type of birth control consistently will protect you from an unwanted pregnancy and eliminate your monthly fears.
Is there a reason why you have not chosen to use some form of birth control, either an oral contraceptive, IUD or the Depo-Provera injection?
