You can wait a few more days and take another home pregnancy test. If it's still negative, your period really is just late. Those tests are super sensitive to the pregnancy hormone your body produces if you are pregnant.
If you go another month with no period, you may want to get in to see a medical professional to see what could be going on. Normally doctors want to see you if you go 90days without a period, but living overseas, I would completely understand you may not want to let it go that long in case something is wrong.
