Welcome to EmpowHer, and congratulations on trying to conceive!

Usually, the first symptoms women feel when they are very early in a pregnancy (besides the fact that their period doesn't come, of course) are slight nausea, the need to urinate more frequently, fatigue and swollen or tender breasts. So what your'e experiencing isn't a typical experience of those first couple of weeks.

HOWEVER, many women have NO symptoms of pregnancy until after they miss that first period. And in fact, a HPT won't be accurate until right around that missed period. The pregnancy tests work in this way: They detect levels of a hormone called HCG, which is the pregnancy hormone, in your urine. If it's not there, the test is negative.

You're probably a little early to feel any symptoms. Hang in there and see what happens with your period. I know how hard it is to wait!
