I also have a venous lake on my bottom lip. I got tired of people suggesting I have an "ink mark" on my lip and went to a dermatologist. She measured it and gave me my options....1. laser it, the end result would be a dent in my lip which would look worse than the purple mark. 2. stitch it, which would leave a scar or 3. nothing.
Insurance will not cover any proceedure since they consider it cosmetic. Hard to believe they consider something I can feel my pulse cosmetic. And lipstick does not cover it!
If anyone knows of a plastic surgeon in the Indianapolis area, please let me know.
