I too had this experience after receiving a flu shot in 2015. Never had a problem or even soreness after the shot and have been getting a flu shot for 15 years before this. Doctors brushed it off acting like they never heard of this kind of thing before and offered no resolution except pain meds, of course. Pain lasted for 6 months, just like everyone else describes and I believe exercising my arm over that time fixed the problem. I was active in lifting light weights before this incident and I could not lift a 3lb dumbell after the shot without serious pain. I am fine now and will never get another flu shot. I also reported it to the vaccine injury website but didn't pursue anything as I did get better. Hope this helps, I feel for you.
