I came across this message board for Tigonosis whilst searching for something else and quickly took a look as I too have Trigonosis. I have not got the time to read through all the comments, but the ones I did read said nothing much about DRINKING LOTS OF WATER.

I was lucky at the time of my diagnosis to be seeing a very good urologist in Sydney, Australia. After all the tests he diagnosed I had Trigonosis and that little was yet known of the cause. He advised me to drink plenty of water every day and avoid spicy food, coffee and alcohol as this irritates the inflammation. I do try to drink over one and half litres of water a day, sometimes I manage two litres. YEP IT WORKS for me. At the start I kept running to the loo to pee, but it was not a painful urge like before. The body seems to get used to drinking mor water and you get used to it and the awful aching and urging of wanting a pee all the time has stopped. I do not eat too much spicy food anyway, but love coffee and alcohol. I have cut back a lot, but on the times I do have a lot of coffee or a relaxed evening drinking alcohol....the following day Trigonosis comes back with avengence. Some days drinking water is such a bore that I stop for a few weeks....my symptoms always come back on these days. Within one day of DRINKING WATER again, my symptoms ease and the Trigonosis goes away. It can be hard going if you are like me to try to drink up to 2 litres of water a day, but believe me when I manage just one litre daily I am fine. Why not try it...it if free and natural and you could only gain from it. Carole
