Did your GP say you would need a hysterectomy, or is that something that you're assuming the gynecologist will recommend? Most doctors would need a lot more information before making a recommendation for major, life-changing surgery. I would advise you to learn as much as you can about what is causing your bleeding and what options are available to you to deal with this. Will you let us know what you learn at your appointment? We'd be happy to help answer questions or do research for you after your gynecologist provides you with more information about your medical condition.
