Dr. Dapo Popoola is the Managing Program Director of the Surgilite Bariatric Program at Tri-City Regional Medical Center in Hawaiian Gardens, California. Patients at the Medical Center are cared for before and after bariatric (weight loss) surgery in a number of ways.

Tests will have been performed before surgery on the heart, lungs, electrolyte and blood counts, to monitor the patient's health beforehand. This makes it possible to correct any health concerns before operating.

The Surgilite Bariatric Management also has support groups at several locations in California. He says support groups make a difference for patients after they have bariatric surgery. These different locations make it easier for patients to have access to the support that they need for success.

"Dr. Popoola received his Doctor of medicine degree from the university of Illinois Medical School, Chicago, IL. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Popoola has practiced Bariatric Surgery for more than 20 years."
