Denise explains how living with the autoimmune condition ankylosing spondylitis has affected her mobility.
Denise:
The ankylosing spondylitis kept me trapped in a wheelchair for about six months. When it got so bad that I couldn’t walk across the room, that I couldn’t walk farther than one aisle in the grocery store before I had to go home, I could not sit down and rest. I had to go home and sleep for six or seven hours in order to make the next step. So, by the time I got to the Mayo Clinic I had been incapable of being mobile in any real sense of the word for about six months.
Then, getting back on my feet once the Ketovers began to practice their wonderful magical, miracle homeopathy on me, it was the most amazing feeling to be able to go and look at the door of a grocery store and think, “I can do this. I can make it through a shopping trip. I can get where I need to go. I can walk down the street. I can walk with my husband again. I can take a walk in the neighborhood at night. I can walk the dog.” I can do anything I wanted to and it was just such a miracle.
I really had been, had been so hopeless after the Mayo Clinic I couldn’t imagine where I was going to go next, what was going to happen. Where do you go after the best of the best tells you, “There’s nothing we can do”? So, it was like somebody gave me my life back.
