Sharon explains the frequency at which she receives allergy shots and the degree to which they help her.

Sharon:
I am at the point where I can get an allergy shot every two weeks to three weeks depending upon the season because I have been at this for over ten years. In years past, I had to go every week for an allergy injection. They don’t hurt. You get stuck by a needle. It’s like a bee sting. Sometimes I will react to the allergy shot so I’ll get, the allergy shot will swell, and I have to put ice on it or take some Benadryl.

When that happens, when I go in the next week they’ll cut back on the androgen a little bit, which is the allergy injection. In this process of discovering my allergies and what I am allergic to, I should say, I did have, the doctor recommend that I have a sinus surgery, and he said that that would help a great deal because all of my sinuses were always infected, and of course that would be a whole another issue. So I did have the sinus surgery, and it helped like 99 percent.
